Rules & Regulations

Format:	Two sections, under 16 and under 12. Six rounds each.

Time control:	All moves in 1 hr 50 minutes plus 10 seconds per move.

Default time:	30 minutes.

Age Groups:	Under 16 on 1/1/19 (Born 2003 or later)	(Maximum FIDE elo rating 2300 on May 1st 2019).
	Under 12 on 1/1/19 (Born 2007 or later)

Prizes:	As per the Prize Panel. Total: £15,000.

Entry Fee:	Included in The Caleta Hotel Package. Non-residents: £130 (€150) - Pay Here.

Mobile Phones:	These must not be brought into the playing area. If a player’s phone makes any sound or is used during play, the player will forfeit the game.

Rating Opportunities:	The event will be FIDE rated for under 16’s and under 12’s according to FIDE regulations.

Any dispute arising in connection with the rules and regulations governing the tournament shall be determined by the organising committee, whose decision will be final and binding.

Players registered as ENG on the FIDE rating list will need to be gold or platinum ECF members.
